Layout Begins

Hello Cat Fanciers!
I know we’ve been relatively quiet the last few weeks. A tough year like 2025 has really slowed down every creative project we’re working on. It’s time to update you all where we are in the process.
In late November, Sarah sent the texts for OMG Cats! and Curious Yarns back with her edits. I have now approved the edits for the OMG Cats! core book and put in the notes for where the art goes. I handed the book off to Matthias for layout this week. The book will look very similar to Heckin’ Good Doggos; colorful and relatively unbusy. It will take a few weeks to go through the layout process. By the time he’s done with the core book, I will have the edits approved for Curious Yarns.
Mike has finished all the art for the cats in the card deck, so we are firmly in the production phase of this project. Because of the constantly changing tariff situation, we aren’t certain right at the moment who will be printing the books. That’ll be for us to figure out next. I am very hesitant to say a date for fulfillment, because there are always so many factors we don’t control. Perhaps spring for the digital versions of everything and summer for the physical.
Thank you for your support of Wet Ink Games and OMG Cats!

Quick update!

Hey everyone! We've been busy here tackling a few things in house and prepping/attending some fall cons. We just returned from GameHoleCon where a lot of people picked up Garbage & Glory, and Heckin' Good Doggos and were excited to hear that OMG Cats is in the wings. At this time it's close to going to layout, and Mumah is just a few cards away from being done with the artwork for the deck. We had some stragglers getting art to us, but it's shaping up to be awesome.
We're hoping to have layout examples and the dice examples to soon. Thank you so much for your patience, and we hope everyone has a good/safe spooky season.
Cat Deck Art and Manuscript

Hey all! We wanted to give you a quick update as to the status of the project.
Manuscript: The manuscript has gone through the second round of edits and the feedback is being worked on right now. Once that is wrapped up then the book can go to layout. We hope to have a PDF to you shortly after that, and then we'll work with our printer to get a timeline for the actual physical print run.
Cat Deck: Mike Mumah is hard at work illustrating your furry friends for the cat deck. Thank you to all of you who shared your pictures with us. Like the Deck o' Good Doggos, the Cat Deck will have names of your cat on the card. Thankfully everyone has included the name of their cat in the email, but if I have any questions I'll be sure to reach out. Below you'll see a couple sample cards.

Hey friends! Wet Ink Games is up for an ENNIE award for Best Free Product with the Garbage & Glory: Trashrun Quickstart from Free RPG Day.
Please vote for Garbage & Glory: Trash Run as Best Free Product AND we saw that someone also nominated Wet Ink Games as a Fan Favorite publisher, so we'd appreciate the support there too!
Every single vote counts, and the recognition of an ENNIE goes a long way.
There are a few others who we'll be voting for too, so please consider voting for them too!
Small and Boss Party by Severed Books (Best Aid/Accessory Non-Digital)
Molten Sulphur Blog by Molten Sulphur Press (Best Online Content)
Production Status
You all should have seen the BackerKit surveys go out already. Please complete those and let us know via the BackerKit support portal if there are any questions or issues. The manuscript is compiled and going through first revisions, and the Curious Tales adventure book is waiting on one more piece of writing to wrap up. Things are going well, and we can't wait to see Mumah tackle all the fun illustrations of your furry felines.
Brief Produciton Update

Hello Fancy Cats!
Summer warmth has finally arrived here in Louisville and summer cons are happening soon. OMG Cats! is progressing well. Liz and Steffie are in the final process of checking the main text to make sure it’s consistent. Some of the micro-settings they've cooked up are so good! For the Curious Yarns adventure book, six of the ten adventures have been completed and I have seen drafts of three more. Michele’s take on a “dungeon crawl” set in a series of crawl spaces is great. Brigitte and Dustin have done an incredible job on a sci-fi tale which begins when all the Notails sleep too late! Mike is continuing to make the art. Everything is progressing pretty much on schedule. Hopefully we’ll be sending the two books to print by the fall.
The next update will happen when the Backerkit is ready. Those of you who backed to have your cat in the card deck, get your photo ready because sending it will be part of the survey.
Updates as there is news, or in a month. Talk to you then. Meow!
